It’s been an amazing eight years of beading, creating, and LOVING anything sparkly or shiny. Those of you who are jewelry artists know exactly what I’m talking about.

You have had the conversation with your spouse, friends, children, etc. that goes something like this when you see a bead store “Okay, I’ll be ten minutes…” Two hours+ later you have found the perfect treasures that will go into your next creations.

I’ve spent the past eight years designing custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry masterpieces for women. My purpose was to create something as magnificent as the woman’s soul so it mirrored back her excellence when she wore the piece. I put intention and love into every item I made.

I’m now embracing the next chapter of my life and taking my work with women to the next level. For the past two years I’ve dedicated my career to producing transformation events and education that empower women. I’m a transformation strategist and love working with women entrepreneurs. This is now my focus so it’s time to say good bye to Intention Jewelry as a business. It’s now a hobby and a gift-giving modality for friends and family for special occasions.

Most of all, thank you to my husband who supported me every day in following my passion. Who never rolled his eyes when I would come home from a bead store or the Gem Faire with a few pounds of gemstones who had just found their new home in my studio.

Intention Jewelry has been a catalyst for my passion of making a difference in the world through empowering women. It taught me my first business skills, which I implement in my other four businesses and now teach to other women entrepreneurs.

I’m in total gratitude for this chapter in my life and the bridge it has been to other opportunities and growth.

I attended an amazing CEO Space forum a few weeks ago and brought my jewelry with me. I was in the lobby of the hotel until 1:30 a.m. selling jewelry! And this is the really cool part, the people who were attracted to it totally got the energy and purpose of the jewelry. I had people walk by and say things like “I FEEL something when I walk by here. Wow, what is this about?” Then I would explain my process to them.

This is one of my favorite personal necklaces. It was featured in Bead Trends magazine.

When I design jewelry, I not only know what colors go well with things and the typical design steps, but I allow the energy to flow through me and I literally bless every bead as I design and ask that the highest good of the “wearer” be served. I literally hold the intention for the person to feel amazing and have the design be a visual representation of their essence and true bliss. I put together designs, shapes, colors, and stones that support the person’s current life journey. Those of you who have experienced my work know that I put the healing properties of the stones on a tag with every design. EVERY TIME someone “randomly” picks up a piece and they look at the stones, they say “I can’t believe it. This is exactly what I am working on in my life right now. How did you know?” When I create a piece I put reiki and loving intention into every item.

So at the CEO Space forum, the people walking by and feeling that this was more than just jewelry, totally got it and totally got me. It was a remarkable experience and it was such a gift to part with some designs to people who felt radiant when wearing the pieces. I tell people, that designing jewelry is literally my form of meditation.

I will never forget the first time I saw the spark when someone put on one of my designs. I was at a Farmer’s Market in Logan, UT and a woman put on a necklace and she lit up. She looked at herself in the mirror and said “Wow, this is how I want to feel.” In that moment, when I saw her light up, I knew that is what I was creating. I don’t create jewelry, I create the experience for women to recognize their beauty and essence. I create the space for that to happen and the jewelry is a way to facilitate that.

So I’m back designing and creating when it calls to me.  I love to do custom designs and exclusive lines (wedding party, women’s events, fundraisers and retreats).I don’t do many art shows any more but you can find me here and at the stores that carry it.

Happy Holidays! As this year comes to a close, I want to thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.  Donna and I had a dream.  We wanted to build a place where women felt comfortable, where they could come to find the confidence they needed to have their best life possible and where no woman ever felt left out.  We’ve had some tremendous successes.  We’ve had some opportunities to do things better next year (we count lessons among the successes though)!Inspiration is what drives us to come to work everyday.  Inspiration is also what drives me to write something about beauty and reality every week.  I find that having an honest, bare all approach to sharing what we learn about beauty is the best way for us all to feel our best.  This week as I wrote about mirrors I laughed at myself for doing the very thing that I tell all my girlfriends not to do.  Well, I guess that shows that we are all human! One of the other things that we have had a wonderful response on this year is Donna’s Daily Picks.  Donna is really an accessory guru and she finds the most wonderful pieces that will dress up any wardrobe. One of her picks this week is Intention Jewelry. We are so fortunate that she found this jeweler and we now are able to carry her pieces in our store.  Each one has a wonderful “intention” written on the back of the card. The ones I am wearing today are for passion and friendship. Can you think of anything better during the holiday season? This set was the first set I did with hand-sculpting sterling wire into an intricate mesh design, which also features swarovski crystal, quartz crystal and sterling chain & wire. A fellow designer, Kellie Forbes of Accent Artistry, led the opportunity to me and we also worked with one other designer, Carol of Precious Designs, to complete the order in just the nick of time. With tight time frames and jewerly to be shipped to LA in less than 48 hours,  the three of us worked together to produce the custom designs. It was so much fun and this is a great example of what can be done in cooperation, instead of competition, with other designers.

My client and I discussed how there are two universal laws that we get to work with every day and they are: 1. The Law of Attraction and 2. Free Will and Choice. In every moment we choose what we create and this meant that her friend’s soul mate got to choose to fall in love with the friend or not. I medidtated on this request because I knew this woman was very passionate about creating this relationship and what came to me was to create a pendant using a stone that supported her with owning her voice and speaking her truth from her heart. So many times we don’t feel like we can really share what is in our hearts, but that is the ultimate illusion. We only serve our selves and others in our lives when we do in fact speak our truth from our hearts.

So I gave the client two inspired options that came to me: We could create a rose quartz pendant that she could wear near heart. Rose quartz is the stone of self love and when we love ourselves authentically, we attract people in our space to treat us the same way. A rose quartz pendant could very realistically assist her with her quest to connect with this sould mate of hers because of it’s energy of self love and self honor. The other option I was inpsired to share with my client was to create a lapis pendant. Lapis is a beautiful blue stone and when worn at the throat chakra is can assist you with speaking your truth.

The client saw how she could really support her friend by honoring her friend’s passion and commitment to communicate with her soul mate. When we speak what is in our heart we really do set love free – it all starts with us. My client resonated with creating the lapis pendant and so I created a simply, yet bold pendant and blessed it with the energy to support this friend with feeling confidant and having the perfect words to share with her soul mate. My client was happy with the piece and was really excited to give it to her friend. I look forward to finding out what actions the friend took to support her on this love journey.

This was a really great experience and I have assisted many clients with questions like this, including stones to support fertility, intuition, balance, inner calm, trust and so many more.
